I normally don't have these installed.

What plugins should I have to stop going to dodgy websites and advert popups?
Anything else I should also have?

ALSO: I assume these need to be allowed to be used in incognito mode as well?

I used to have 10 different plugins - but then saw each was taking RAM all the time when Chrome was running. So I removed all - when I need, I add, then remove again after using.
    (Is that a good strategy?)

    Thanks.

For the brief period that I tried out Chrome, I merely googled for the equivalent extensions I use in Firefox, read the reviews and made choices.

    Depends.
How much memory was involved compared to what is installed in your computer?
Personally, I wouldn't be disabling any extensions that involve security and safer browsing.
Too easy to forget to turn them back on.

Other extensions you might have installed may not even have any security significance, Them you could disable if your installed memory is so small, they impact performance.
