Whenever I reload a tab or open a new tab and do a Google search, the page just keeps loading and eventually the "this page is not responding, do you want to kill it" pop-up. I can kill the page and it kills the page, but if I try to reload it just keeps loading again and then eventually goes to the same screen. I can't even load the settings page or any of the chrome://whatever pages. All other browsers work (currently posting this from Firefox.)

    Things that I have tried:
Restarting the computer: This works but eventually the issue pops up again. I want a more permanent solution.
Restarting Chrome: This also works, but only for about 10 minutes and then it happens again.
Scanning for viruses: I used Malwarebytes to scan for viruses and it found some "potentially unwanted objects", but no viruses and when I got rid of these objects the problem was still there.

I won't even attempt to help you troubleshoot the problem as I'm not that familiar with Windows 10. I will, however, try to point you in the right direction for answering your query.
Go to the Google Chrome Help Forum and read the responses on the subject.

Quote: 3. Have Chrome icon, but unable to run Chrome / Chrome does nothing

Chrome may not start at all or show nothing after upgrading to Windows 10 from Win7 or Win8, due to Microsoft's installer automatically setting
Chrome's execution Compatibility Mode for Windows 7 or Windows 8 compatibility.
    To workaround try the following:

Right-click on the Chrome Icon > Properties > Compatibility
Clear/remove any check-mark for "Run this program in compatibility mode" Quote
