Chronicle of Riddick!! Installation Problem!!

pc spec:
p4 3.06
Asus p4sdx motherboard
256 geforce 6800 GT
1 Gig Ram

Im having a problem installing the game : The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay

BAsically when i put the cd in i get the error message
"PC has Crashed. DO you want to create a crashlog"
cant do much after that. COuld it be a corrupt file in that case i can get the game exchanged. any help will be appreciated. thanks guys

Never in my gaming life have I seen that message. I would exchange the CD just to make sure that it is the CD.
