I understand there is a way to clean the hard drive so that no files can be retreved. Can anyone tell me how this is done? I'm refering to deleted files.

    Thanks

DOD has a standard that involves writing five or ten patterns over the entire disk, they seem to think that's sufficient. I know that some WIPE programs claim to support that standard.
