I bought my computer (AMD-K6, 350MZ) about three years ago from a local computer store. It was originally set up with Windows95; the tech offered to install Windows98 if I bought the Win98 upgrade, which I did. He installed Win98, and put a copy of it on my hard drive. I'm now having a lot of crashes after trying to install Netscape 7.1 (which I've uninstalled, and replaced with Netscape 4.79, which I haven't had trouble in the past with), and want to do a clean reinstallation of Windows98. I have the original CD box with the ProductKey number. Will I be able to do a clean install with this, since I don't have disks from the previous Windows95 version?

I've read your detailed posted instructions to reinstall Windows98, which are clear and helpful. Many thanks!

For your reference, the kind of crashes I'm having lead to this message: "A fatal exception OE has occurred at 015F:BFF9DBA7." Then I often, but not always, get this message afterwards: "Netscape has caused a general protection fault in module DIBENG.DLL at 0005:00002f80."

Thanks very much for any help you can give me!
