    Dell 17" Win7pro latop

I need to securely wipe this pc for sale or donating. I can't find the recovery disks I cut when it was new.

    Thanks

Do you still have the product key? If so, you can download a Windows 7 ISO here for re-installation. Also, if you go to the Dell support site and enter your Service Tag, you should be able to download all drivers applicable to the laptop. That way, you'll be able to do the re-installation and clean it up.

Thanks, I think I have that!

Is there a post here, or site with step by step for the whole process?

The Windows 7 ISO file at that Microsoft site requires a "retail" product key".
It will not accept the "OEM" product key on your Dell(unknown model name and model number and service tag number).
