    Good afternoon/morning/evening depending on where you are located.

    Do any of you have a suggestion for a good free HD cleaner?

    I am trying to free up a little space on my 14.4 gig laptop running XP.

    Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions.

    DownLoad EasyCleaner http://www.majorgeeks.com/download414.html

    Use the clear files and Unnecessary files buttons – I do not recommend
    using the Duplicates files button
    as many dupes are there on purpose.

    Not all files will delete – that is normal.

    In the unnecessary button I check the top 4 entries

    Good afternoon and thanks for the suggestion. I downloaded the program from MG and am trying to do a install.....problem. Setup is experiencing a error. It tells me to close any running program....empty your temporary folder.....check your internet connection. I did all this except turning off my AV and still now luck in running the setup. I even went as far a turning off the firewall....still no luck.Any suggestions?

    Yes, I have admin. priv. Do you think it could be a corrupted download?

    I just tried turning off the AV and ZA firewall and still got the same message.

    Thanks

    I gained by 3/4 of a gig and even though I let it get rid of all the unnecesary files instead of the top 4 (mistake on my part) you suggested (y) it re-booted just fine....Thanks to everyone for your suggestions and bkdc I will also look at the crap cleaner you suggested......but I think disk cleaner did a pretty good job considering I got appx. 75mb space back.

    Would it be kinda like the combo of ad-adware & spybot? If one doesn't get it the other will?:D
