I have Windows ME. I had Microsoft Home Publishing Express 2000 version 4, installed and hadn't used it for quite some time. (It had previously worked fine.) When I tried to use it now, It tells me when I try to add a clip from thre gallery that the gallery is installed, but is corrupt , to run setup again. I did so, still same message. I removed whole program and reinstalled. Same thing. I borrowed another disk for same program and did a new install with it. Same thing. I can insert files from other programs, but not clip gallery. I can open the clip gallery independently with no problem.

I don't think 2 different disks coud have a corrupt file. Any suggestions?

I ran Housecalls as you suggested. It found NO viruses. your message kind of put a scare in me, I thought perhaps you thought I had a virus, which is why I am having a problem with thata particular software. As for the link for ad aware, it keeps coming up unavailable. thanks anyway

A friend of mine had problems with that program a while ago and she found that her antivirus program was causing all the trouble, something to do with realtime scanning or something, I can't remember.

I'm not sure which av she had but it wasn't McAfee or Nortons. If you have an av running, try disabling it and see what happens.

Thanks Topazz, tried what you said and still no luck. I use AVG and have it installed on my other PC also, and Home Publishing works fine on it. Used same installation disk. I closed everything out except systray and explorer when installing it. Must just be some bug. Thanks and Merry Christmas everyone.
