Hello. This is my first post. And if anyone here can help me fix my issue, I'll donate to the cause of this site (provided PayPal is an option).

My problem: I hear horrible clipping in all of my video files (doesn't matter what type) when I play them in Windows Media Player 11. (To those who want a better definition, it sounds like I have the volume way too high but it really isn't all that loud). It also happens in some games (but not all).

This only happens on my brother's profile and he says that it just all of the sudden started doing it. It does not do this on my profile. It does sound fine when I play the files in WinAMP on his profile though.

    Things I've tried:
Uninstall WMP 11 (reverting back to WMP9)
    Reinstalling WMP 11
Uninstalling a bunch of codecs (divx, ac3, xvid, windoes media codecs packages, etc.)
    Reinstalling a bunch of codecs
    Uninstalling my sound driver.
    Reinstalling my sound driver.

    Thanks in advance.
If anymore info is needed, just ask.

    NVM. I figured it out.

It was my AC3 filter. Had to uninstall and reinstall.

Apparently, I forgot to remove this one.
