After cloning (I used Macrium Reflect Free) my XP (32-bit) SSD to a new Samsung 860 Evo SATA SSD it does not boot normally. It comes up to a HP splash screen. I can move move my mouse but can't access the keyboard (I've tired ctrl+shift+esc and other options). I can boot to Safe Mode and everything looks great there.

What might be the problem causing the cloned drive to be able to access Safe Mode but not boot normally?

When you make a clone you should disconnect the source drive before you boot the clone drive for the first time, did you do that ? If not I would make the clone again and do it then.

If the above doesn't fix it the usual cause for only being able to boot to Safe Mode is a driver problem.

Thank you, Allan. I disconnected the older drive both times I ran Macrium Reflect. Thanks for the reminder. My first thought is that its the display driver. I will see if that helps.
