Finding the programs that are activated at start up is quite straightforward - but how do you view the bells checks and whistles that occur when you close down? I ask this because recently closing down has become a very slow process and I would like to find out what is causing this. After the saving your settings message the screen freezes, mouse becomes fixed, and then after a couple of minutes the PC closes down normally. This can be annoying when you need to reboot to clear the memory, for instance. Any clues would be appreciated by this octogenerian!
