I think I'm having a senior moment.

It seems to me that once upon a time I could close all open windows with a single keyboard command. But try as I might, I simply cannot remember how it was done.

Any advice out there... System specs are in my sig.

I just knew when I posted the question, someone would come up with that :D

Thanks for the help. Hate those "senior"moments, but it's better than the alternative.

Hi Dingenium... Tried Ctrl+F4. That closes the current browser window. I'm looking for a keyboard command that will close ALL open windows, regardless of what application they are in.

Yeah, yeah, I know, restart. :D

Holding down the Ctrl+F4, instead of just tapping them will simulate a shut down command, which will close all open windows, but . . .

    try this freeware utility instead

    CloseAll

Ctrl + W will close open windows one at a time, just keep tapping.

Thanks RandyG... That little utility does exactly what I wanted. (y)

After a session online where I was supplying help to others with HJT, I would have a number of NotePad windows open (canned responses) plus SpyWareBlaster, TK's BHO list and multiple browser windows open. When I was finished, I was having to manually close them one at a time... What a pain  Can't believe an OS doesn't have something to do that built in.

    Thanks loads... :D

I just get so excited when I find (or someone points out) a utility that makes my life easier, my mind (assuming I have one at my age) gets things (like names) all mixed up. Doesn't diminish my gratitude one iota.

Thanks again RandyG... or LONGHAIR... or someone.. :D
