Which icons on right side of task bar by the clock do I have to close besides Norton when I install a new printer so there won't be any conflicts? I have volume, disk detector, creative mixer, task scheduler ready, etc. How do I disable or close these if I should?
Also, how do I find them to put back on if I do close them?

You actually shouldn't need to close any of those to install printer drivers.

But if you want to close them, most system tray programs can be closed by right-clicking on each one and choosing exit/close/disable from the menu that appears. Some may ask you if you want it to load again next time you restart. Say yes.

When you're done installing the printer, restart the PC. All the system tray programs should be back. If you lost one or two, you can usually find them in your Start>Programs menu somewhere.
