CMOS battery failing ?

I have an interesting problem.
During POST my Sony PCV-V200G desktop gives me a message "ESCD updated Successfully".
I have not changed or added any hardware. Have not changed any BIOS settings.
This message just keeps appearing every time I boot or reboot.
I've reset my bios back to default settings and the message still appears.

I'm thinking my CMOS battery is dying .

Make any sense to anyone out there ?

Thanks,
Michael

It shouldn't be anything to worry about unless something isn't working. It likely has to do with pnp in the bios or a usb device.

All the cmos battery does is save your bios settings, so if you change a setting you can save it, rather than making the same change every time you start the pc.
