I have a question about CMOS virus's when you get them does anyone know the chances you will be able to clear them by removing the cmos battery & unplugging the pc to drain the cmos backup power & wipe all memory there clean...

I had read in one or 2 places that this can be done to remove some mobo viruses im just wondering if anyone has heard of this or used it them self, and if it worked... also if this does work and idea what % of the time a virus in the mobo winds up being a cmos virus ? i would assume most of the time since there are not many places viruses can attack the mobo
