My wife's Lenovo with Windows 8.1 can see my Homegroup files; however my computer (HP Pavilion 500-281 with Windows 7) fails to see hers, it doesn't even see my own. Both computers can access the Internet. The command sfc/scanow could not repair some files. My wife's computer fixed the network adapter. I read a bunch of online analyses but none accomplished a repair. I suspect a network problem but can't find one. When I click on Homegroup, only my wife's name appears with 4 files but those files don't open; my name doesn't show. I conclusion, the sharing is a one-way affair...
