I hate McAfee. Not only does their bloatware bog my computer down but (as of the day I dumped it) it didn't work with Firefox. And to add insult to injury it kept telling me that my subscription had expired and that I would need to renew because you (me) no longer have a firewall, anti-virus, etc. I owned a two year subscription and I was less than 12 months into it.

So when McAfee bought SiteAdvisor I dumped that also. Now Comodo, who's Firewall I use (and when my subscription runs out with Nod32 for their anti-virus), I'm going to switch to Comodo's, has a verification engine that when installed will notify you by boxing the webpage
    with a green stripe
that the website has bought the new super-duty verification certificate.:)
