HI,

sometimes when I'm playing a computer game such as CS or Warcraft3 or UnrealT2003 my computer will freeze, the sound will loop continuously, for example and gun shot will loop, and my monitor will turn off like it was in sleep mode or something. There is nothing I can do about it, no CTRL+ALT+DEL or anything. I have to restart it after. I sometimes suspect that it freezes because my proccessor/vid card is running to hot but WHO KNOWS! This problem doesn't happen frequently so thats good, but its a brand new computer i built my self and I want it to be flawless because its my baby... :) Please help...I know i can count on you guys because you have helped my before.

What kind of motherboard do you have?
Did you rig it with lots of cooling? I suggest at least two case fans not counting power supply & heatsink fans.

I had a similar problem with a game and my computer. It turned out i needed updated drivers - and my video card was brand new! Check the video card manucafturers website for updated drivers and even info on this problem with your specific game.

Hope this helps..

This is my mother board : "Asus A7333 w/Built in Audio(Disable) and USB 2.0"

I do have alot of fans in my case : normal power supply fan, fan over proccessor, a fan in the front of the comp that sucks in air (my intake), and last i have a fan in the back of my comp to hopefully blow the hot air out (my exost).

I will check for some new vid card drivers and i will get back to you...

thanks for the help so far.

Hey Guys,

Its been awhile. waited to see if downloading a new video card driver would cure the problem, and it hasn't. I checked the Xtacy web site and the Nvidia web site for drivers. I installed a new driver for the card but apparently it didn't work because the machine still freezes. I would be helpful for me if maybe you guys could paste the site where i could specifically find the driver to my vid card. I also heard that the problem could be caused by my sound card or its driver for some reason. Tell me what you think. I'm at a loss for ideas.

Please get back to me.

Thank you
