My laptop is about 3 years old, it has a amd athalon 400mhz processor with 256mb or ram. I would like to know if it is possible to upgrade the processor and somehow get a video card. Are there any motherboards that are compatable so i replace my current. I know that the video cards come on the mother board. My question is simply...

    1) can I upgrade?

    2) where could i find the parts?

    Thanks for any help.

No, laptops are dead end systems, you may be able to upgrade the processor to 600mhz amd, but nothing too large, and they do not have any upgrade slots for video cards. You can maybe try to replace the motherboard, but that would require a ton of skill, and a few months of not having anything to do.
