Compaq Presario S4100NX

    I need to replace fried motherboard in this. I know it has 2.5ghz Intel Celeron processor. It also needs a new Hard Drive. The RAM is pc2700 ddr. Any suggestions on purchases?

    What socket is the CPU?

    What is you power supply connection? 20 or 24 pin?

    your memory on that pc is actually pc2100.

    and it looks like the only celeron 2.5ghz is a socket 478.


    That motherboard would have to be purchased from Hp directly, but you would have to return the defective part, you would also need to know the model #, there are 2 different ones.. you can find them here.

    or

    you can buy a new mother board, but unfortunitlly, all the boards out there dont support pc2100 any more.so you would need to buy new ram also.
