Greetings everyone..I am new to this so please excuse my simple explanations.I have a compaq presario laptop that I have had for many years. The browser is outdated.I have decided to purchase a new laptop.I would like to save my photos on my laptop. The pictures are on my computer using Nero version 1.0.I wish to also save my music to transfer to my new computer. My music is on my computer in file form as well on windows media player.

I also have dial up which is going to be replaced soon as well.

Any help arriving to this decade would be great..

    Welcome! :)

There are a few ways you can back up your important files and transfer them over.

Does the old laptop have a CD burner?
You could burn everything to a disc.

Or, you could purchase a flash drive.
A flash drive is a small USB storage device that can be used to transport files from one computer to another. They are slightly larger than a stick of gum, yet the device can hold so much.
