Completly no sound

    (Forgive me if this is not the correct place to be placing this type of problem)

    Hello, I own a Gateway XP Laptop... And mee problem is, Theres no sound... except when i hit shift like 5 times it makes sort of a twitchy sound... my volumn is not muted and neither is all the other nobs on the volumn control, there all med volumn... So if you can just give me some places to check and find out what may be the problem will be most apprieciated, aditional information needed, please ask me =)

    Since you are using the Gateway computer, you can try to follow the HP sound troubleshooting on this page:

    Let me know if any one the steps on this page doesn't help you resolve the issue
