so i downloaded a draft of my research paper off an internet storage site to my computer. it asked 'open or save' and i clicked open. 2 hours later im done with my research paper, and i click the 'save' button, but not once in that two hours did i press the 'save as' button. so i exit out of the program and try to open it a couple minutes later, but i couldnt find the file anywhere. where would it have saved it to when i pressed the save button? This is on microsoft word 2007, and my history paper depends on you :(

Where are your files normally saved? Was the save dialog in a web page or a word-processor?

    Did you search?

It saved to a browser temporary folder and almost certainly deleted when you closed the browser.
