Hi everyone. In a bid to free some space on the C-drive of my laptop I compressed it but the result is a message: "TFGHT is compressed. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart". When I do that the same message re-appears. Please advise me on the appropriate way to restart the laptop

Can you restart the computer from the start menu? If not push & hold the power button until it turns off, then turn it back on.

I did some google searches & by compressing your C Drive you compressed some files that can't be compressed & the only way to undo it is to repair windows from the cd. The site below will tell you how to repair windows xp.
