I am needing to reformat a Toshiba Tecra 8000 lap top and I have found that the C drive is compressed and to check the drvspace. I have heard that trying to reformat a compressed drive can be pain, and I haven't dealt with this situation before. Anybody know how or what I need to do?

    Thanks

    Q. My system tells me that the drive I am formatting is a compressed drive. It tells me to use the DRVSPACE tool (Drivespace) to format the drive. Can you help?
    A. In Windows 95/98/Me, click the START button then Programs, then Accessories then System Tools. Select Drivespace. Select the C: drive. Click the "Drive" menu (at the top left) and click "Format".

Ok, did that and got and Error message.

Drive C is you startup drive, so you cannot unmount it, format it, or delet it.
