My Sony vaio e series laptop is having Major issues. I tried turning it on and it came up with the Windows 10 load up screen then the screen went black. After a glitch screen appeared and then it said your pc ran into a problem and needs to restart and it restarted causing this to happen again like an infinite loop. I have a windows 10 bootable USB flash drive. Please help

it sounds like there is an update stuck. Try going into Safe Mode and see if that helps.

I try to get into safe mode by pressing f8 while the laptop boots up but it just comes up with a grey screen

If you are able to get into safe mode without issue, then try a restart and boot as normal.
