    i have a microsoft surface laptop 1 and was wondering if i can use a lg ultrawide 25 in monitor 21:9, 2560 x 1080 as a second display

    It depends on your graphics card driver. Go to your graphics card web site and see the specifications of your card. If the specs can do even higher resolutions, then there's a good chance it will do the resolution you posted. But it still may not work. Only sure way to see is to buy it and test. If it doesn't work then return it.
