I have a windows xp sp2 professional with 1.70 ghz, 128mb ram, intel pentium 4.

Problem:First of all, my computer is slow as a snail. Secondly, whenever I try playing a game or even sometimes while browsing, it freezes and crashes. It does not shut down, it is just like I have pulled the cpu plug. However, what I have noticed is that the keyboard light is on, while it doesn't happen when I shut it down. I have formatted and reformatted my pc but the problem is still there. I tried changing the ram and also the smps (the small box where the power line to the cpu goes.)

Please help!!!

Hi and welcome to TSG.
Running Xp with only 128Mb of Ram will be the cause..more Ram is needed..minimum of 256Mb.
Check Crucial for info on what Ram is installed.
