I have an Acer laptop, core 2 duo processor, running Windows Vista. Doesn't matter what I'm doing on it, after 10-15 min, my computer just shuts itself off. Screen is blank, no warning messages and the power is off. When I start back up, it asks me if I want to start up normally, or in safe mode etc. No messages or warnings come up. I don't know if this is a Vista issue or not. I can't do a complete scan with 'Norton anti-virus ' as my laptop shuts down part way thru the process. I don't know what to do or who to turn to. I'm hoping you can help.
Thank-you

have a look in the power options (control panel)
Set to always on -

is this running just on battery - is it plugged in OK and charging the battery

you could try running memtest http://www.memtest.org/
