My computer ran perfectly fine until a few days ago, now whenever it starts up a game the computer will immediately crash. No blue screen, no extended crash of any type, just off. Temperature does not appear to spike before the crash, but there is not much time for speccy to update. Windows does not file any crash reports.

    Built computer myself.

    SSD:

    Power Supply:
Cannot find sticker, very literally nothing written on 5/6 sides, the only side i can't see is the side against the top of the case. I bought this power supply when I upgraded my graphics card a year or two ago. I believe it is 950 watts. Bought it at frys, no online order history to check, can't find a box anywhere in my house.

    understood...

Does the PC actually shut completely off and you have to restart it?

The pc turns off as though the plug was suddenly yanked out, I have to turn it back on.

Have you got another video card you can try laying around as a test.

Not sure what might be happening....but could be when you start a game it needs more power and the PSU fails. you could try resetting the video card and also taking out some memory...to see what happens.

You video card is a bit warm on idle.

It seems likely that it is the power supply, but it could be the video card overheating. I'm going to go pick up a new power supply and see if that has any effect.
