I was recently asked by my uncle to help with a problem that he is experiencing on his PC.
He opened his computer and added and ethernet card and a new 56 k data/fax/voice modem. After restarting his computer, his monitor would click into standy by and then come on when he turned his computer off. I solved that problem and when his computer started it said that it had a drive read failure and it also says that the fat32 is invalid and his drive needs re-partitioned. a new cd rom drive was also installed. what should I do in this situation to keep from losing the current data on the PC?
