It seems completely random, but my computer locks up in the middle of a game or watching a dvd. Sometimes it's good for hours on end, and sometimes it won't last 10 mintes from startup.

    I am currently running:
    Windows XP Pro
    1gb PC3200 Kingston Valueram
    AMD Athlon 64 3200+
    120 GB Seagate HDD
    Pioneer DVD Rom
    NVidia GeForce 5500 128MB
    SoundBlaster Audigy 2

I defragged the hard drive earlier today, restarted, and ran Counter-Strike immediately after. It locked up about 5 minutes into the game. It doesn't give me any sort of BSOD, no error log that I know of, and can only be restarted by pressing the Reset button.

Well there is nothing in your HijackThis log that would be interupting your system.

Download the latest updates from Windows Update by doing the following:

Open Internet Explorer and at the top click on "Tools", then "Windows Update".

Also delete your Temporary Internet Files by doing the following:

Open Internet Explorer and at the top click on "Tools", then "Internet Options". Click on "Delete files" and tick "Delete all offline content". Click "OK" and "OK" again.

Try uninstalling unwanted programs to free up space on your computer.

Restart your computer. Try playing a game to see if it works properly.

    Good Luck! (y)
