when i turn my computer on i receive this error

    error loading c:\PROGRA~1\NEWDOT~1\NEWDOT~1DLL

the specified module could not be found

i click ok to continue and eveything is fine..but a few minutes later..about 5-15(it varies) my computer locks up..it happens when im browsing and tends to freeze when im loading a page..but sometimes im not even browsing..ill be playing games(not online) and the game will freeze completely...i still have mouse control but nothing else works. the keyboard has some response eg: the caps lock and num lock lights still flash on/off when i press them, but i cant type or use any hot keys..also ctrl alt del wont bring up task manager..i find i just have to shut down through cutting the power..which isnt good.

is there anything that i can do/download or whatever that will determin exactly what causes this to happen? thanks.

    Howdy,

Go to Add/Remove Programs and uninstall New.Net or NEWDOTNET. If either of those aren't in the list... go here and follow Procedure 4 to uninstall it.

    Delete the C:\Program Files\NewDotNet folder.

    Restart your PC.

Hi while your here..you may want to d/load a Hijack this log.
Log experts will check it to see if you have any other bad entries on your system.

    http://www.thespykiller.co.uk/files/HJTsetup.exe
    Save HJTsetup.exe to your desktop.
Double click on the HJTsetup.exe icon on your desktop. By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Hijack This.
Continue to click Next in the setup dialogue boxes until you get to the Select Addition Tasks dialogue.
Put a check by Create a desktop icon then click Next again.
Continue to follow the rest of the prompts from there.
At the final dialogue box click Finish and it will launch Hijack This.
Click on the Do a system scan and save a log file button. It will scan and then ask you to save the log.
Click Save to save the log file and then the log will open in notepad.
Click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" to copy the entire contents of the log.
Paste the log in your next reply.

DO NOT have Hijack This fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.

Hi you need a Log expert to check your log..you have some entries that need attention.
No sign of an Antivirus program.
D/load Avg and check for updates..scan your system and post a new Hjt log.
