I recently had to reinstall windows xp because it crashed. Now all the games I played before do not work. My system meets the requirements, by far. I have updated directx and the induvidual games from their respective web sites. Any help will be appreciated

Did you reinstall the games after the reinstallation of Windows, or did you just reinstall the new copy of Windows over the old one.

What error messages do you get when you run the games? Did you reinstall all of your hardware drivers after the reinstall, video/audio?

Any more details will help.

I reformatted my hard drive and installed windows like you would on a new computer. I then installed the games. I updated everthing. I get no error message, it just lock up the whole computer and i have to restart.

Right click on My Computer, click Properties, click the Hardware tab, click Device Manager.

Is anything showing up with a yellow (!)?

Hmmm... is anything else acting up on the computer; does anything else not work?

Hmm.. I'm not quite sure, I'll have to look around for some answers on this one; in the mean time I'm going to request that it be moved to the GAMES forum so you may be able to get better help.
