Hello, I've been having a little problem with my computer recently.

First of all, here's my specs:

    CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E8400 @ 3.00GHz, 3.2 GB RAM
Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 3 (build 2600)
    Video: GeForce GTX 260

So heres my problem. After a short while I'm on my computer (usually between 20 and 40 mins) my computer suddenly freeze, but I can still move the mouse, click on some things (Without anything happening) but after 3 clicks, I can't move mouse anymore and everything freeze. (Plus a loud "beeeeep" in my speakers)

I've been scanning my computer again and again and no virus are found. I scanned with AVG and Kaspersky virus removal tool. I even looked throught the process to make sure theres nothing that shouldn't be there but everything is fine. And the temperature is fine too.

Feel free if you have any question,
    Thank you.

Please click here to download and install version 2.0.2 of the HijackThis Installer.

Run it and select Do a system scan and save a logfile.

The log will be saved in Notepad. Copy and paste the log in your next post.

    Do not fix anything

Is it just one beep and is it long or short?

How do you know the temperature is fine ...what did you test it with?

How do you get out of the freeze?

@ phantom, I'll do it right away.

@ mega, It's a long beep like... not stopping. I have PC Probe 2 for the temperature and I get out of the freeze by rebooting the computer.

In addition to the above - beeps can indicate a Ram problem.

Turn the computer off and disconnect it from the power
Take off the side of the case and touch the bare metal chassis to discharge static.
    Remove Ram sticks.
Plug in the RAM [one stick at a time].
    Also try different slots.
    Ensure it is seated correctly.

Maybe....Power supply, system board, or keyboard problem.

First can you try a different keyboard and see if the problem persists....good place to start

How old is the power supply?

And check memory as suggested in post above...:)

You can try a Clean Boot to isolate a possible culprit among your Startup programs or Services.

The beep come from the speakers and not the computer itself =\ I'll try removing the RAM and then i'll go for the Clean Boot. I tried another keyboard and the computer froze again, my Power suply is new from August.
