    Hello all,

I've worked at a helpdesk before, but I have no idea how to interpret the HJT log. Could someone please help?

This is from my dad's computer (P4 2.6GHZ, 1GB DDR RAM, WINXP SP2, Runs McAffe - I don't know why..., WinDefender)

He has an error that comes up when he tries to install software "Windows-No Disk Error".

Below is the log. Thanks in advance for the help.

    Hi, Welcome to TSG!!

Use msconfig to disable [Dit] Dit.exe from startup and see if that fixes the no-disk error.

I can try, but it was doing this even before we got the new HD (which came with dit.exe - assigns pictures to the mem card drives apparently).

I was able to fix some other errors (it would pop-up with a tab_on and tab_off error on startup, apparently it was a hpq problem error - once I stopped it from starting up, no more problem!).

I was able to trace the no-disk error to csrss.exe, but it is in the correct folder (win/sys32). I thought that perhaps I should replace this file, but I can't seem to find a download. I'm tempted to rename it, but I don't know if it'll cause problems because it is an "integral part of windows".

    Any input?

    Thanks!
