computer is not turning on

    I plugged another pw supply in my mobo, still the same thing. then I plugged my own pw supply in another cpu and it was working there fine.

    Try installing another video graphics card. If you still get same results then your motherboard is defective.

    I agree. I think it's starting to look as if the board is "done."

    I forgot to mention to change the battery in the motherboard. If that does not solve your problem, then the board is done.

    This is pointless. It will not make any difference.

    Your board is likely dead. You will probably need to replace it.

    It won't hurt too much to try it if the computer might be old.

    All the battery does it hold the BIOS settings, like boot order and memory. As a matter of fact, with it booting to defaults every time is good. It helps to make sure no user defined settings are causing any issues. Once the issue, is fixed if the battery is indeed dead, which it will tell you so in the BIOS, then you can change it.
