Hi I am having this problem for about a month or so now. Everytime, I watch videos on youtube or netflix, my computer freezes up. It will be fine in the beginning but then after a little bit it freezes, I can hear the audio but the video freezes up. I use both Firefox and IE, and the problem seems to be in both places. Sometimes, if I listen to music from Windows media player and browse the web, the music slows down. It also happens in Zune. Right now, my CPU performance is very high. It keeps going from 54% to 100%, keeps going up and down. I only have my browser open at the moment, and the Task Manager.

I am using a Dell XPS M1210 laptop. Windows XP SP3, Intel(R)CPU, [email protected], 998MHz, 2.00GB of RAM.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

    Howdy,

You could post your HijackThis log and see if anything shows up

    Download HijackThis to your desktop
    • Close all open windows
    • Double click on HJTSetup.exe on your Desktop
    • Click Run and Install
    • It will install to Program files by default
    • it will launch Hijack This
    • Click on "scan system and save a logfile" usually in notepad
    • Copy and Paste the logfile in your next post
    • Using Ctrl+A to copy All and Ctrl+C to copy and Ctrl+V to paste.

I couldn't find it in the Program files, how do I do it in the registry? And for Norton, what can I do about that?

    Thank you.

It should be in Add/Remove programs

It wasn't in the add/remove program. Yes I paid for Norton, still have 100 some days left before it expires.
