First of all, I would like to apologize because I cannot download the TSG SysInfo because my computer freezes after only being on it for about 5 minutes. So sorry for any problems that will hender fixing my computer. Okey so here goes, today I turned on my laptop and it loaded like normal, and all my programs loaded as well . As I proceed to load the internet my computer completely freezes. I mean mouse, keyboard and all. So I turn off my laptop thinking it would be a one time problem or that it was over heated but it repeated the same process, whether I click on a program or if I just let it sit for 5 minutes the result is always the same. I even tried loading my computer in safe mode but every single time I have to hard reset it because it freezes after only 5 minutes, even in safe mode. I'm not sure if it is a virus but I did a virus scan with AVG on my computer yesterday and there were no viruses detected. I didn't even use my computer today because I was over my boyfriends house and used his laptop for my school work. Please help me! I can't figure out why my computer keeps freezing, I cannot get anything done on it :( I have a HP with Windows 7 that is only 1 year and 2 months old.

Thanks in advance for your help oh and p.s I am using my mother's laptop to type out this informationa and look for solutions, just in case you were wondering.

Do this on a known clean computer...

Download the Windows Defender Offline Tool and save to your Desktop.
You will have to select the correct version for your system, either 32 or 64 bit

Double click [IMG] to run the tool, Windows 7 or Vista user right click and select "Run as Administrator"

Read the instructions in the new window and select "Next"

In the new window accept the agreement:

In the new window select your USB Flash Drive, then select "Next"

In the new window ensure you Flash drive is selected, if not click on "Refresh" then select "Next"

In the new window accept the formatting alert by selecting "Next"

    Files will be Downloaded:

Files will be processed and created

Flash drive will be formatted and prepared

Files will be added to the Flash Drive and the tool will be created.

The procedure is finished and the Tool created, click on "Finish" to complete.

Plug the USB into the sick PC and boot up, if it does not boot from the flash drive change the boot options as required, Use F12 as it boots, change options...
As it boots you`ll see files being loaded and the windows splash screen, eventually the tool will run a "Quick Scan" follow the prompts and deal with what it finds.

When the Quick scan completes initiate a full scan, let it complete and deal with anything it finds..

When finished remove the flash drive, press the Esc key to boot into regular windows.

    Navigate to the following file:
"C:\windows\windows defender offline\support\mssWrapper.log" Open with notepad and copy and paste it into a reply.

    Kevin...

I tried everything that you told me to do. I did the steps more than 3 times but it still keeps freezing. The first time it cleaned up 3 malware and 1 virus, but the other 2 times it said that my computer was clean. I don't know why it keeps freezing. Thanks for your help though.
