Ok first off I have used SpySweeper, NoAdware, Spybot Search and Destroy, Ad Aware 6.0, Panda online scan, Spyware Blaster, Norton, Trend Micro online scan, and a few others. My computer lags at startup and when the desktop loads the mouse hardley responds, then it will just stop/freeze. after about an hour i can move the mouse again but no programs will respond. I have looked at the possibility of a hardware conflict - but there doesnt seem too be one, i also have changed the mouse three times. I just dont think its the mouse. The only way too get the computer to function is to run it in Safe Mode. Much Help would be appretiated im at a dead end with this one.

http://forums.techguy.org/t110854.html Go here and download Ad-Aware SE , SpyBot Search and Destroy , Download , install and set up according to the tutorials at the site . Do a scan and get rid of everything the programs find . Download and install Spyware Blaster . Make sure your installed anti virus program has the latest updates and do a scan . Only one anti virus program should be running .

ok downloaded the Ad-Aware SE i had the others, it found a few cookie tracking programs but nothing all that big - got rid of them. Disabled all but one virus scanner. My problem still exsists and possibly has gotten a bit worse. Anything else you might can help me with? Im at my wits end. Thank You for your help!

You cut off the header of HijackThis, so I can't tell if you are using the latest version, 1.98.2. If not you should repost with it.

    http://www.net-integration.net/tools/hijackthis.html

I see two different antivirus applications in the '04' entries, but none in "running processes". Why is that, did you terminate them with Process Explorer?

No "malware" files or processes are evident.

Would you try doing a "clean-boot" and disable both startups and non-microsoft services and reboot without connecting to the net?

    Does the same behavior occur?

Here are instructions for doing a "clean-boot".

    http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;310353

You can re-enable what was disabled, completely, if no change occured. If the problem didn't repeat in the clean boot configuration, then you need to isolate the problem to service or startup which was disabled.

Also, when did this problem first begin? And did you ever try a System Restore?
