    Hi Everyone,
My eMachines computer makes a clicking noise when I start it up. It starts when the computer goes though the eMachines page before I get to the desktop and ends when I get the Vista startup page. I took the cover off and when I listened it seemed to come from the motherboard area. This problem stopped when I upgraded to Vista but it began soon afterward. This problem also coincides with when I have to hit the windows button on my keyboard at my desktop before I can do anything. Thanks for any help.

    AMD athlon 64 3500+ processor 2.20Ghz 32 bit
Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit

Can't really be sure but hard drives like to make clicking noises. It's not usually a good sign. Make sure you have your data backed up. Power supply could be clicking also.
