My computer, the host computer, in a peer-to-peer network is not showing up in the network neighborhood. however the other computer is.

I followed the directions and everything and the installation went great. i'm just curious as to why. (both computers are connected)

The primary cause of this is normally the workgroup name you are using for your peer-to-peer network. Check the Workgroup name on both machines. They have to be "indentical" - it is case sensative - so make sure the letter case is the same on both machines. Try that first and then reboot if you made any changes.

The second thing to check is if both machines have netbios over tcp enabled in the Advanced properties of the network configuration on both machines.

Start with that and let us know the results.

Thanks,
Mav
