Computer not shutting down

    I've been having problems shutting down my computer. When I log off the computer does not shut down. It says that I have performed an illegal operation. When I click on the details it says "Explorer caused an invalid page in Module <unknown> @0000:0043d306." Can anyone PLEASE help me!!!!!!

    add on........check for spyware too.
    www.lavasoft.com "adaware"

    some spyware like "gator" and the like are known to conflict with I.E
