Okay, so I've been experiencing this problem for about five months but i only realized it was doing it on it's own in the last two months. at midnight, every single night (unless i use the computer during midnight), my computer randomly turns itself on. i don't know why it does this and i haven't set it to do it (like an alarm or something like that) so i have no idea why it's doing that. can someone please help me ?

Go into the bios and under Power Management, disable all the "boot up to" entries.....such as Lan, modem or any.
