About 2 minutes after i dial onto the internet i get this error:

This system is shutting down. Please save all work in progress and log off.
Any unsaved changes will be lost. This shutdown was authorised by NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM.

Windows must now restart because the remote procedure call (RPC) service
    terminated unexpectedly.

I have tried re-installing my dial in software, but the same happens.

Has anyone else had this problem?

If so any help solving it would be appreciacted.

    Thank you
    Whitestar.

When you say it shuts down and remote procedure call in the same sentence, it reminds me of the infamous Blaster worm. I woud suggest a virus scan; make sure your antivirus program definitions are up to date.

If you do not have an AV program, you can get a free online scan at TrendMicro's HouseCall.
