Hello guyz I have an old computer recently somehow the hard disk was burnt and i had to buy a new one and I also installed windows XP on my new hard disk. Now its going very slow for example it takes at least 10 seconds for the internet explorer to show itself up after I double click its icon. The ram is 64MB someone suggested that i get a bigger RAM but another guy said that that would not help. So what should i do now?

64 is the absolute bare minimum for xp, so yes more is nessecary. What are the other specs like cpu speed and type of ram ?

New more ram hould help, but you mentioned the terms older computer. There is a limit as to how much ram you can use and that information you probably need to get from the manufacture. If your economics will permit, of course it would be nice to get a new machine :D
