Things looks good at the moment.

It's time to see fresh FRST logs now.
  • Double-click on the FRST icon to run it, as you did before. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
  • Press Scan button and wait for a while.
  • The scanner will produced two logs on your Desktop: FRST.txt and Addition.txt.
  • Please attach the content of these two logs in your next reply.

Here I am again.

1. Uninstall an Edge extension
  • Open Edge.
  • Press the 3 vertical dots at the top right.
  • Select Extensions.
  • Find Web Threat Shield and remove it.

2. FRST fix
  • Download and save the attached fixlist.txt to the same location as FRST is (on your Desktop).
  • Right-click on FRST64 on your Desktop, to run it as administrator. When the tool opens, click "yes" to the disclaimer.
  • Press the Fix button once and wait.
  • FRST will process fixlist.txt
  • When finished, it will produce a log fixlog.txt on your Desktop.
  • Please post the log in your next reply.

Let's see the result now.

I don't know how to remove it. It says it is managed by my organization: I don't have an organization.

Oh! You are talking about that! Actually this specific extension causes all the issues here.

I'll be back to you soon.

Hi, panzer.

Search files
  • Double-click FRST.exe/FRST64.exe to run it.
  • Copy and paste the following into the Search box:
Code:
Webroot
  • Press the Search Files button.
  • When complete, FRST will generate a log, named Search.txt, in the same location it was run from.
  • Please copy and paste its contents into your reply.

Very strange! Webroot is a ghost!!!

Can you tell me if you have something like that in your Taskbar?

No. A faded image of webroot comes up in front of the taskbar when I first boot up. It fades to nothing in a second or two.

I couldn't disable it as the situation was the same as before. Farbar froze as soon as I pressed fix.

Try this fix now, and tell me if FRST gets frozen.

Just download and save the attach fixlist and then open FRST and press Fix.
