My friend bought his computer 3 to 4 years ago and it's running slow when he runs this game called Soldier Front. His internet is Charter (http://www.charter.com/Visitors/Home.aspx). Firstly, i would suggest running ccleaner to clean up any files which might be slowing down the computer.

To me, 512mb doesn't sound like much for gaming. I would have said 1GB for worthwhile play. The minimum requirements are usually just high enough to run the game, let alone play it well.

If its an internet issues, the firewall can often block certain games from playing effectively. Try disabling it for a small amount of time and playing the game to see if it works.

Also, what graphics card is he using?
