    Hi,
My computer has been getting slower and slower. Initial start up takes much longer...and program starts, such as firefox can take forever. I also get warnings on the machine running low on virtual memory. I try to keep my start up programs to a minimum..and also regularly update and run my CA stuff. I also run Adaware...and Malwarebytes on a weekly basis.

The hijackthis log is below. Any help would be appreciated.

That isn't very much and it appears that CA Internet Security Suite is really hogging the most of it.

You could either uninstall CA Internet Security Suite and download some free programs, like a free antivirus and free antispyware programs - to save up some room, or you could invest in adding more memory to this system.

Again...thanks for the response. I use the CA, as it comes as part of my deal with Road Runner. That said, what programs might you recommend? I am not sure that adding more RAM would make sense for me...as the computer is a few years old..at least....and I might be better served in the long run..putting the money towards a new system. Thanks again...I really appreciate your help.

I'd get either AVG or Avast for an antivirus.
Malwarebytes and SpywareBlaster for antispyware protection.
I would have also said SuperAntispyware, but I don't wanna recommend too much and overload the system again.

quick update. I have removed the CA suite, installed AVG. It also seemed that Firefox was slowing down the system as well. I reinstalled that...and it does seem much better. i wll mark this as solved and thank you again.
