computer slowing down

i've had an issue with my computer lately,like the topic suggests...it's slowing down, mostly when i have to leave it for more than 5-10mins i come back to find everything going extremely slow. of course i run an updated virus scan (norton) and spybot+addaware both updated too. i've found some spying programs and remove them but the problem is still there...

You don't need those starting at startup.

Also, are you running some kind of dos program at startup too????
